Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using PorchLite ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

PorchLite is a property management platform designed for second home owners to share property information, house instructions, and coordinate visits with friends and family. The Service includes web and mobile applications.

Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

Subscription and Payment

PorchLite offers a subscription service at $19.99 per month. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • Free Trial: New users receive a 2-week free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial.
  • Billing: After the trial period, you will be charged monthly unless you cancel before the trial ends.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Your access will continue until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial months. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on the rights of others
  • Upload malicious software or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Use the Service for commercial rental operations (Airbnb, VRBO, etc.)
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users

User Content

You retain ownership of content you create on the Service (photos, instructions, guestbook entries, etc.). By posting content, you grant PorchLite a license to use, store, and display that content as necessary to provide the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring that your content:

  • Does not violate any third-party rights
  • Is accurate and not misleading
  • Complies with all applicable laws

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user content), is owned by PorchLite and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PORCHLITE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PorchLite and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
